Cousins, coolers, and haircuts

Ellaiden's cousins, Nick and Emily, decided to express their cousin-love by dragging little E around the house on a cooler.

Ellaiden's bangs had become tiresome to her, a hindrance to everyday seeing and having fun. So Jenny's mom took up the scissors for Ellaiden's very first "haircut."

A song & dance number

I started making up this song about a windmill the other day and Ellaiden started spinning around. The payoff at the end is pretty funny...

Beautiful surprise! Autumn color!

We made our trip to NC to see the fam and let them see us and after a week I think everyone was ready to see us go! Ellaiden decided to grow some teeth (which kept her in pain constantly) while we were there and Soren decided she ONLY wanted to sleep if someone was holding her. Needless to say I got very little sleep between the two of them. So to all my family and friends I didn't call. Sorry, but you probably wouldn' t have wanted to be around us anyway.

We will be coming back for Christmas and hopefully we will have a whole new outlook on life when we arrive.

The pictures are of the trees in front of my parents' house and they were BEAUTIFUL! Flying over I got my first glimpse of what was going on down there and I got really excited. I miss fall on the east coast. Texas just can't compare in any way shape or form. I will take pretty colors and gentle breezes over 90 degree weather any day.

And there she goes...

Ellaiden and I recently went to the local sport's equipment store to find me a new pair of sunglasses, since she broke my last ones. Upon entering the store, she grabbed a Camelbak hydration pack. She put it on and I helped her click the straps. She then took off---something Ellaiden has a tendency to do.

She just takes off, disappears around the house, who knows what she's up to, what she's breaking, what she's removing from shelves and placing in bathtubs. Just takes off down an aisle in a store with a piece of merchandise strapped to her back, heading for the door where if she walked through would set off the alarm and be booked as the youngest shoplifter in history.

Sorry for the sideways view and poor video quality (phone cam).

Crib Dancing

When Ellaiden woke up from her nap Saturday, we decided to deposit Cash in the crib and see what happened. Dancing ensued. The video quality is blurry because the video was shot with my phone.
