Mr. Giraffe

Mr. Giraffe is a constant companion. What are you thinking Litttle E?

Relaxing

Ellaiden has found her feet! They are now her favorite play toy. She has also decided that she no longer likes to be locked in to her bouncy chair. Too confining!

Country Girl

Ellaiden may live in a larger city in Texas but I believe she is a small town North Carolina girl at heart. Much to Chris' eye-rolling dismay and my giddy delight, Little E likes country music, or at least the country music on the radio. We have discovered what to do if she is screaming her head off in the car. All we have to do is turn on the country station to a very high volume and there is instant silence in the back seat.

This happened again last night and after a few minutes of silence from Ellaiden, Chris decided to turn it down (just one notch; to start a conversation) but the backseat was having none of that. So, back up the music went for the rest of our ride home.

We thought that the music put her to sleep. This was not a correct assumption. When we got home she was wide-eyed and smiling. Chris just shook his head at her music choices and I had a BIG grin! You see, he never lets ME listen to country music when we are in the car together without complaining.

Hear The Music????

Our child may not look like me but I think she really IS like her mom. Many a day I have been dragged to many a concert where I promptly stuffed cotton (or whatever I could find) in my ears. I'm just not in to loud places. Chris on the other hand thoroughly enjoys concerts, music, and anything else that fits in that category. Our daughter it turns out takes after me. We went to church on Sunday evening. When the band started playing she put her hand over her ear and held it there for most of the first song. Of course Chris and I started laughing and she just looked at her dad like.."Why don't you get me out of here?"
