More trick-or-treating

Just Some Fun Pics

The last few weeks have been hard on us all. It seems someone has been sick since Soren was born and we are just now getting to normal-maybe. So, for all of you that are waiting on thank you notes, please be patient! Poor Soren has spent the majority of her life in our bedroom behind a gate to keep Ellaiden from throwing things at her (or in her mind giving). Yesterday I found two shoes, an extra passie, a leaf, and a changing pad in scattered around Soren when I went to get her out of bed. Ellaiden had been giving her gifts without me knowing it.

Ellaiden has heard "gentle" about a thousand times as she tries to give her sister lovies. Ellaiden really loves her new sister and gets so excited when she has the chance to get near her. Soren is still trying to decide what to think about her big sister but I feel positive she will come around.

In other news, Soren has started smiling and we are beginning to see her interact with us! Lots of fun! Ellaiden has started putting things away and is growing so fast. She still has a little difficulty obeying me when it comes to running up and down the couch and climbing on the kitchen table, but we are working on it.

Pumpkin Hunting

Saturday we all went to a Christmas tree farm so Ellaiden could go on a pumpkin hunt. Chris was a little hesitant about the pumpkin hunt thinking E might not understand what to do. I (as well as every other Mother ) knew that wouldn't be a problem. Give a girl a shopping bag and she knows to fill it up! Ellaiden went straight for the pumpkins hiding in the trees and was already going for the next one before the first one fell to the bottom of her bag. We all had a great time. I believe this was both Ellaiden and Soren's first "hay" ride (minus the hay)!

A Sunday with the Brothers Biscuit

A couple weeks ago, Jenny's mom watched Soren so we could take Ellaiden to see The Biscuit Brothers at the farm where they film their Emmy-award winning PBS show. Who knew it was only ten minutes up the highway and east just a few miles. I'll tell you who knew. The Feds. They know all. And they're always watching us.

Anyway, we had a grand ole time of it. In one of the pictures, you can make out the plaid-clad Brothers Biscuit playing their music for all the kiddies. We also got to see a windmill, some longhorns, and a real live front porch with rockers. Unfortunately it was too hot to stay very long and Jenny, who had skipped a feeding with Soren for us to go, was swelling with mammary pride and had to return home post-haste.
