One of THOSE days...
This is one of those rare occasions where both offspring are actually asleep at the same time. This happens about as often as we have a full moon. Although it did happen last week (I did our taxes) and again today.
Ellaiden
Chris and I have been laughing a whole lot at Ellaiden's antics lately. One of our new favorite stories is going to check on her an hour after she was supposed to be asleep one night. I found her sitting on her bed Indian style (crossed legs) with her Bible in her lap looking at pictures. How is she able to see the pictures in her dark room you might ask? Well, our little engineer simply pulled one of her blinds out of its slot and propped it against her headboard. She was sitting in the light of the street lamp outside. Since then she has managed to pull out all of the blinds from the slots as far as she can reach.
Today I found her naked with about four diapers and 50 wipes spread around her on her bed. This was in additon to her tea set that was on her pillow. After putting her clothes back on and cleaning off her bed (taking the wipes with me) she went to sleep. It has become a ritual for her to play for an hour and then I come in and take her toys away so she can sleep.
Soren
Little Soren has been finding her own way into the family. She has learned to cry out as soon as Ellaiden comes near because I will come running and that saves her from getting pinched, prodded, pulled, or pummeled. Yes, you would think I would just get over there quicker so she would not have had to learn this on her own. Come keep my kids for a few hours and you will understand why I don't make it.
She has started grasping everything in sight including hair. If you look closely as one of the pictures following you will see her with a handful of her sister's hair! She likes to try to push the keys on the computer so I can no longer hold her and type.
She is rolling all over the living room now and finding her own things to play with instead of waiting for me to notice she is bored. Usually Ellaiden is the first one to notice and chucks something at her which Soren sometimes does and sometimes does not appreciate depending on the weight of the object.... well, my time is over...offspring are calling...
